AI in dating, explained honestly

AI dating assistants: 7 'wingman' apps compared

·7 mins

Search the App Store for “rizz” and you get dozens of near-identical icons promising to write the perfect reply. Most are thin wrappers around a general chatbot with a weekly subscription bolted on. A few have built something more specific: coaching that remembers who you are talking to, or a keyboard that drafts inside any app.

This list covers seven that were live in the U.S. App Store on 2026-11-06, with prices from their App Store in-app purchase lists or official sites. If you are new to the category, what an AI wingman is explains the mechanics first.

How these seven were picked

The rule was simple. Each app had to be downloadable in the U.S. today, show a recent App Store listing, publish what it does and what it costs, and be built mainly for dating conversations. The list is ordered by fit for most readers, from coaching-style tools to pure line generators. It is not a ranking, and nothing here was scored or tested.

Two names on the original shortlist were dropped. Keys AI’s domain now redirects to a parked “lander” page and no current App Store listing under that name could be matched to the company. No U.S. App Store app called Hey Rizz could be found. Smoothspeak and WingAI took their places.

One more rule applies to every tool below: if an app writes the words, the person on the other end is talking to software as much as to you. That matters more the further a conversation goes. More on that at the end.

The seven at a glance

App Developer (App Store) Main job App Store prices listed (checked 2026-11-06)
Wingman Wingman Technologies Inc. Ongoing coach that remembers matches Premium Access $7.99, $23.99, $41.49
Smoothspeak ProdTrace, Inc. Coach “Cue” plus keyboard $2.99 to $49.99 across plans
YourMove AI Squip AI LLC Openers, replies, profile writing, photos $4.99 to $79.99 across two apps
WingAI Ignition Dating LLC Openers from screenshots $3.99 to $79.99
RIZZ TREND IT LLC Replies from screenshots $3.99 to $99.99
RizzGPT Pranav Deshmukh (ENHANCE) Replies, lines, chat analysis $1.99 to $79.99
Plug AI Vert Media Partners LLC Replies and lines; subscription required $4.99 to $59.99

App Store lists often don’t label durations, so a $9.99 item could be weekly or monthly. Prices can vary by region and change without notice.

1. Wingman

Wingman bills itself as an AI dating coach rather than a line generator. You add the people you are talking to, and each gets a thread and a page with notes, so you don’t re-explain the situation every time.

What it actually does: rates your photos, rewrites your bio, reads chat screenshots and suggests a next message, and answers general dating questions. It is on iPhone, Android and the web.

Who it suits: people who want to understand why a reply works and who juggle a few conversations at once.

Price: App Store lists Premium Access at $7.99, $23.99 and $41.49, durations not labeled. The app is free to download.

What to watch: the memory that makes it useful is also a file on your matches. That record lives on the company’s servers.

2. Smoothspeak

Smoothspeak is built around an assistant called Cue. Its App Store listing says it was trained on insights from dating coaches and built by people from Stanford and Google, which is the company’s own claim.

What it actually does: reads screenshots of profiles, dating apps and DMs, suggests replies with an explanation, and offers a keyboard so suggestions appear inside other apps. The site says it is also available inside ChatGPT.

Who it suits: people who want reasons alongside the suggestion, and who prefer typing in the dating app itself.

Price: App Store items range from $2.99 to $49.99, with “Smoothspeak” and “Smoothspeak Pro” tiers. Durations not labeled.

What to watch: AI keyboards usually ask for “full access” on iPhone. Read the privacy policy before granting it.

3. YourMove AI

YourMove AI is the broadest suite here: a chat assistant, a profile writer, a profile review tool and AI-enhanced photos. The company claims more than 300,000 customers.

What it actually does: gives three openers from a topic or a profile screenshot, suggests replies to messages you paste in, writes bios, reviews profiles and generates photos from 8 to 12 uploaded pictures of you.

Who it suits: someone rebuilding a profile from scratch who also wants texting help.

Price: it runs two iPhone apps. YourMove AI Keyboard lists Premium at $4.99 weekly, $9.99 and $49.99 annually, plus a “Profile Poet” item at $9.99. YourMove AI Wingman for Dating lists items from $12.99 (monthly) to $79.99, durations mostly not labeled.

What to watch: the photo product rebuilds your image “from scratch,” in the company’s words. Dating apps require photos that look like you; see AI photo generators for dating profiles for each app’s rules.

4. WingAI

WingAI is a focused opener tool with a large user base (24,000-plus App Store ratings on 2026-11-06). Its site claims 2.5 times more dates, which is a marketing figure.

What it actually does: you upload a screenshot of a match’s bio or your chat, and it writes flirty openers and replies. A bio photo analyzer is included in paid plans.

Who it suits: people whose main problem is the first line.

Price: the site showed Pro at $0.99 for a trial week, then $7.99 a week, and a Premium annual plan at $69.99 (checked 2026-11-06). App Store items range from $3.99 to $79.99.

What to watch: weekly billing adds up fast. Set a reminder to cancel if you only need it for a week.

5. RIZZ

RIZZ is one of the oldest names in the category, with more than 40,000 App Store ratings. Its listing describes GPT-based replies generated from uploaded screenshots of chats and bios, plus a formal mode for networking.

What it actually does: turns a screenshot into several reply options.

Who it suits: casual users who want a quick suggestion now and then.

Price: App Store lists “Infinite Rizz” options from $3.99 to $99.99, including a one-year item at $69.99.

What to watch: the App Store listing showed its last update on 2026-01-29, older than most apps here.

6. RizzGPT

RizzGPT (the App Store listing by Pranav Deshmukh, under the ENHANCE name) offers reply generation, pickup lines, dating tips and conversation analysis. Several unrelated apps use the RizzGPT name, so check the developer before downloading.

Who it suits: people who want an inexpensive, ad-supported option.

Price: App Store lists Pro Weekly at $6.99 and $7.99, Pro Monthly $8.99, Pro Annual $79.99, and smaller items such as No Ads at $1.99.

What to watch: the free tier carries ads.

7. Plug AI

Plug AI from Vert Media Partners generates replies from screenshots, writes openers and answers dating questions. Its listing says it requires a subscription to use.

Who it suits: people already familiar with the app.

Price: App Store lists Premium at $6.99, an unlimited annual plan at $59.99 and a 25-reply pack at $5.99, among others.

What to watch: the listing’s last update was 2024-08-02. An app that hasn’t shipped an update in two years may lag behind changes in iOS and in the dating apps it reads.

Before you paste a screenshot

Every one of these tools works best when you upload your match’s words and photos. That person didn’t agree to it. A few habits keep this reasonable:

  • Crop out names, faces and anything identifying before uploading.
  • Don’t upload anything shared in confidence: health details, family situations, photos sent privately.
  • Read the app’s privacy policy for retention and training language. If you can’t find it, assume the worst.
  • Never paste in screenshots from someone who has told you they are uncomfortable with AI.

The dating apps themselves draw a line between help and automation. Hinge’s help center says autoswipers, bots and similar automation tools violate its terms and can get accounts banned (checked 2026-11-06). The tools above don’t act on your account, but the spirit of that rule is clear: the apps want a person on each end.

When to say you used one

A suggested opener is a bit like a friend reading over your shoulder. Few people would call that deceptive. A whole conversation written by software is different, especially once feelings are involved or you are moving toward a date.

A workable rule: if your match would be surprised to learn a tool wrote most of what they fell for, say so before you meet. “Confession: an app helped with my opener” is an easy line early on. It gets harder the longer you wait. For prompts that keep your own voice in the reply, see using ChatGPT for dating app replies.
